Welcome to the first MapPack Weather report. Every day we run the same 500 Google Maps searches (25 local industries × 20 big US metros) and measure how much the top 20 changes. 0 is dead calm; 60+ is a storm.

Normal day-to-day churn, no sign of a Google update. If a client dropped hard this week, the whole map didn't move with them. Look at the profile first: recent edits, categories, reviews, or a quiet suspension.
Where it was stormy
- Auto repair was the most volatile industry by far, averaging 47.4. Shop rankings reshuffled every single day.
- Veterinarians (37.3) and insurance agencies (31.1) came next.
- Urgent care had the biggest swing: from 10.6 to 32.9 in two days.
- Med spas were the calmest (9.7). Those rankings barely budged.
- By city, Jacksonville (29.8), Atlanta (29.4) and Columbus (28.8) moved most; Denver was calmest (15.4).
